18.08.2021

It is with deep sorrow and pain that we have learned the news about many casualties caused by the natural disaster in northern Turkey. It is stated in the condolences sent by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

“This year, unfortunately, nature sends heavy tests to friendly Turkey — first in the form of fires, and then floods. How the Turkish people came together in the face of the elements causes a sense of deep respect. With the help of real friends, your country, including the support of Belarusian rescuers in helicopters, is holding back one element, I am sure that another will win”, the Belarusian leader said.

On behalf of the Belarusian people and his own behalf, Alexander Lukashenko also expressed deep condolences to the families and friends of the victims, addressed words of support and wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.
