Ambassador of Belarus meets the Minister of Trade of Turkey

On 9 November 2021, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkey Mr. Victor Rybak met with Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Muş.

The parties discussed the status and prospects of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Belarus and Turkey in the light of the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries in Ankara in April 2019.

Special attention was paid to the issues related to the preparation of the eleventh Meeting of the Belarusian-Turkish Joint Intergovernmental Economic Commission and the substantive content of this event. 

The parties informed each other about the expert work done by the customs services of Belarus and Turkey to launch the pilot project ”green corridor“ in order to implement the intergovernmental agreement on the mutual trade promotion system, as well as implementation of other projects of mutual interest.

The Belarusian Ambassador handed over an invitation for the Turkish business community to participate in the Belarusian Investment Forum as part of the National Day of the Republic of Belarus at the EXPO 2020 in Dubai on November 22, as well as commercial and investment proposals from Belarusian companies and organizations.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to continue practical cooperation on the discussed issues.
