Ambassador of Belarus meets the Deputy Minister of Trade of Turkey

On March 4, 2021, Viсtor Rybak, Ambassador of Belarus to Turkey, held a meeting with Gonca Yılmaz Batur, Deputy Minister of Trade of Turkey.

During the meeting the sides confirmed the high level of political ties between Belarus and Turkey, and emphasized the importance of building up the Belarusian-Turkish trade and economic cooperation.

There were exchanged views on approaches to develop interaction in the field of trade and investments between the two countries in the context of implementing the agreements reached at the level of the two countries' leaders in Ankara in April 2019.

Special attention was paid to the preparation of bilateral trade and economic events planned to be held in 2021: the 11th meeting of the Belarusian-Turkish Joint Intergovernmental Economic Commission, the 2nd meeting of the joint working group on trade, the 2nd investment forum.

The sides shared information on the conducted actions regarding the approval of the technical conditions developed for the organization of information exchange between the customs authorities of Belarus and Turkey and in this respect noted the importance of the early launch of the mutual trade promotion system, the so-called ”green corridor“.
