Belarusian parliamentary delegation pays a visit to Turkey20.10.2021
With the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Ankara on October 19-21, 2021 the Belarusian parliamentary delegation headed by the Chairman of the Permanent Commission on International Affairs, the head of the working group of the Belarusian-Turkish inter-parliamentary cooperation Savinykh A.V. is visiting the Republic of Turkey.
During the meetings in parliament with Vice Speaker Sureyya Sadi Bilgich, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Akif Kylich, as well as the head of the inter-parliamentary friendship group with the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Selman Eser, there were discussed key issues of Belarusian-Turkish relations, inter-parliamentary cooperation, international and regional issues. The Turkish side was informed about the political situation inside and around the Republic of Belarus.
The parties noted the similarity of views on many issues on the international agenda, and also emphasized the importance of constructive cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
During the meeting with Mayor of Ankara Mansur Yavash, there were discussed issues of intensification of relations between the capitals of the two countries within the framework of twin-city ties. There was also reached an agreement on the elaboration of the issue of mutual assignment of Belarusian and Turkish names to facilities in the capitals of the two countries. There was an exchange of views and experience in the fight against a new coronavirus infection.
Belarusian parliamentary delegation headed by A.V. Savinykh on October 21 is going to visit Istanbul and take part in a meeting with representatives of the Turkish business community, organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul.
