Ambassador of Belarus Anatoli Glaz met with the Deputy Chairman of Justice and Development Party of Türkiye

On 11 June 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Türkiye, Anatoli Glaz, met with the Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party of Türkiye, Kürşad Zorlu.

For reference: the Justice and Development Party of Türkiye is led by the incumbent President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Founded in 2001, the party plays a dominant role in the country’s political arena and holds the largest number of seats in the Turkish Parliament. It currently has over 11.5 million members. The party pursues a policy of economic growth, strengthening Türkiye’s role on the international stage and consolidating national identity.

During an engaged and in-depth conversation, the parties discussed a wide range of issues concerning Belarusian-Turkish cooperation, including trade dynamics, the development of political and inter-parliamentary dialogue, contacts between political parties and civil society organisations, and the intensification of cultural and humanitarian cooperation. International issues were also touched upon.

The sides noted the trustful and friendly nature of relations between the leaders of Belarus and Türkiye, and acknowledged the high level of mutual understanding between the peoples and political forces of our countries.

The parties reaffirmed their interest in further developing dialogue based on the principle of mutual respect and outlined steps for implementing specific promising projects in the near future.
