About the participation of the Belarusian delegation in the Medical Tourism Conference

On November 21-22, 2025, the Belarusian delegation, headed by Belarusian Ambassador to Türkiye Anatoli Glaz and including General Consul in Istanbul Evgenia Bortkevich, is participating in the first International Conference Bridges of Medical Tourism: Healthcare, Diplomacy, and Innovation Summit in Izmir.
The forum brought together leading experts in the medical industry, professors and scientists, representatives of diplomatic missions, specialists in innovative technologies, and medical tourism from 60 countries worldwide.
Belarusian medicine at the event was represented by Tatiana Murzina, head of the medical rehabilitation department and the center for traditional Chinese medicine at Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital, and Vasily Garashchenko, sports medicine physician in the department for coordination of medical support for national teams at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Sports.
The opportunities of Belarus's medical sector, innovative treatment and diagnostic methods available in our country, including for foreign citizens, were extensively presented to Turkish and foreign participants.
Agreements were reached on the elaboration of joint projects in the field of medical tourism with promising Turkish partners.
To promote domestic products, samples of sports nutrition from Belakt JSC, biologically active additives from VitusPharm and NIKA companies, produced by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, were presented to the Conference participants.
During their work in Izmir, the Belarusian medical delegation also conducted separate negotiations with the executive director of Istanbul's Medipol University Hospital to establish cooperation, exchange physicians, and share experience in the field of medical innovations.
