29.07.2026

On July 28–29, 2026, a representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Türkiye participated in the International Western Black Sea Economic Cooperation Summit, organized by the International Investment and Business Confederation ULUSKON in Kastamonu.

For reference. The International Investment and Business Confederation ULUSKON is one of the largest non-governmental business organizations in Türkiye. The Confederation actively focuses on advancing international trade and investment cooperation as well as economic diplomacy. ULUSKON unites approximately 350 sector-specific associations and 11 business federations representing diverse sectors of Turkish and international business (ranging from manufacturing to services).

During a special session of the Summit, the Belarusian diplomatic mission delivered a detailed presentation on the trade, economic, industrial, and investment potential of Belarus. The event brought together executives of major Turkish holdings, representatives of international investment funds, and leaders of regional trade associations.

A comprehensive overview of Belarus's economic capabilities was presented, focusing on four strategic areas:

  • Developing industrial cooperation and joint machinery engineering projects;
  • Promoting Belarusian agricultural and food products;
  • Outlining the advantages of implementing investment projects within Belarusian Free Economic Zones (FEZs) and the ”Great Stone“ Industrial Park;
  • Optimizing logistics and supply chain flows.

On the sidelines of the Summit, a series of negotiations took place with ULUSKON leadership and business representatives regarding the expansion of bilateral product supplies and the implementation of new joint ventures across various manufacturing sectors. Given the industrial profile of the Kastamonu region, special emphasis was placed on developing joint projects in the wood processing industry.

An agreement was reached to organize a visit of a representative Turkish business delegation to Belarus under the auspices of ULUSKON to inspect local industrial sites and manufacturing enterprises.
