About the screening of the film “On the other shore”

On the eve of National Unity Day on September 16, 2023, the Embassy of Belarus in Ankara organized and held a film screening of the film “On the other shore” directed by Andrei Khrulev. The film screening took place in the “Russian House” building in Ankara for Belarusian and Russian citizens living in Türkiye.

 
Before the film screening, H.E. Victor Rybak, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Türkiye, made a speech. In the context of strengthening national unity, developing dialogue and mutual understanding in society, H.E.V. Rybak emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory and truth. The Head of the Embassy pointed out the cyclical nature of history, when individual political forces and countries provoke conflicts between fraternal Slavic peoples. The attention was drawn to the importance of analyzing historical events more often, so as not to repeat the tragic course and development of history.

At the end of the film screening, a lively exchange of views took place between the audience.
