About the Meeting of the Ambassador of Belarus to Türkiye with the Governor of Eskişehir

04.12.2025

On 4 December 2025, the Ambassador of Belarus to Türkiye Anatoli GLAZ held a meeting with the Governor of Eskişehir Province Hüseyin Aksoy.

For reference: Eskişehir is one of Türkiye’s major industrial, transport and university centres, with an export volume of around USD 4.5 billion. The region has a well-developed railway and aviation industry, machine building, metalworking, and the production of industrial equipment and components. Several organized industrial zones operate in the province, and the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises is actively developing.

During the talks, particular attention was paid to potential cooperation in high-technology sectors, industry, equipment and component manufacturing, as well as in the agricultural and construction spheres.

Humanitarian issues were examined as a separate block. Belarus and Türkiye expressed mutual interest in strengthening ties between the universities of Eskişehir and leading higher-education institutions of Belarus, expanding exchanges in engineering and IT specialties, and in developing contacts between cultural and sports organizations.

As part of the visit, a delegation of Belarusian business circles, organised by the Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, worked in the region.

At the Eskişehir Chamber of Industry and Chamber of Commerce, the Ambassador officially opened the Belarus – Türkiye business forum, which brought together companies operating in the fields of high-precision technologies, agro-industrial equipment and industrial construction.

The Belarusian industrial and investment potential was presented, and «B2B» meetings were held. Approaches to deepening direct contacts between organized industrial zones, specialized enterprises and business associations were discussed.
